Invisalign®
Clearly Different
The Invisalign® system combines advanced 3D technology with the science of orthodontics to move your teeth to the desired final position prescribed by your orthodontist. Each clear aligner is precisely fit, calibrated and manufactured to fit your mouth at each stage of the treatment plan. Invisalign aligners and treatment protocol are designed by Dr. Parajon after an iTero® 3D scan of your teeth, diagnostic records and a precise treatment plan have been developed – treatment time is generally 9-24 months with between 18-48 total aligner sets. Each aligner set is worn for about two weeks (and eventually reaching 5-day aligner changes), and regularly removed to eat, brush and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next, your teeth will move gradually – week-by-week until the final alignment prescribed is attained.
To ensure the best possible results, only an orthodontist should perform your Invisalign treatment. An orthodontic specialist completes an orthodontic residency program for two to three years after dental school to focus on teeth straightening with proper fit and alignment of the bite; and dentofacial orthopedics, which concentrates on improving position and dimensions of the facial bones and jaw focusing on the bones that house the teeth.

Types of Orthodontic Appliances
All orthodontic appliances work essentially the same way: by employing light, constant force to move teeth into proper alignment. But how we apply these forces can vary, as numerous innovations have become available in recent years. Some of the newer, less visible orthodontic appliances have been designed to blend more easily into personal and professional lifestyles. Types of orthodontic appliances include:
Clear Aligners — As an alternative to the fixed type of orthodontic appliances mentioned above, clear aligners are removable. They are clear plastic aligners that fit precisely over your teeth. Each aligner is part of a series that move your teeth a little at a time until they are in the proper position. Your aligners and treatment protocol are designed by Dr. Parajon with the help of specialized computer software that generates a virtual model of your bite.
